Canada’s 150th Anniversary – Welcome to Earth Studies

Exploring our Country – A Snapshot of Canada with Earth Studies
Jai Wolf – Like It’s Over (Ft. MDNR)

Canada is a rich and dynamic country that is home to more than 34 million people. We’ve got a lot to be proud of. Canada is the second largest country in the world. Our country has vast geography, diverse cultures and vibrant communities unlike any other nation.

Since Confederation in 1867, Canada has seen a world of change. Today, we’re part of a global community that is connected by technology and travel. Our provinces and territories continue to transform to reflect the evolving face of our citizens.

Our country is home to a diverse spectrum of citizens. Today, more than 20 per cent of people living in Canada were born outside the country – a proportion we’ve not seen in almost a century. As we look ahead to Canada’s 150th anniversary, it’s important to reflect on the Canadian experience and what it means to be Canadian.

Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation across the country with the Cushing family. From kids summer camps and gap year travels, there are plenty of ways to celebrate all that makes us who we are as a country.

Canada’s Capital Region will highlight Canada Day in an outstanding way. Come be part of the experience at the International School for Earth Studies in Ladysmith just 60-minutes from Ottawa.

June 21 – National Aboriginal Day
June 24 – Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day: Fête nationale du Québec et de la Francophonie canadienne
