Minneapolis in chaos as protesters clash with riot cops while Trump says ICE victim

Anti-ICE protesters are clashing with police in Minnesota today in the wake of a federal agent shooting and killing Renee Nicole Good.

Good, 37, was shot in the head three times while inside her SUV on Wednesday, sparking mass protests in the streets and outrage from Minnesota lawmakers.

Liberal celebrities, including Amanda Seyfried, Cynthia Nixon and Simu Liu are leading the charge from A-listers slamming ICE for the shooting.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) claimed the shooting was an act of self-defense, but the city’s Democrat Mayor Jacob Frey has blasted ICE’s characterization of the shooting and told them to ‘get the f**k out of Minneapolis.’

‘They are already trying to spin this as an act of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I wanna tell everybody directly, that is bull****,’ he said.

DHS has deployed more than 2,000 officers to the area in what it says is its largest-ever immigration enforcement operation.

Vice President JD Vance called on ICE agents to ‘work even harder’ in the wake of the shooting.

‘To the radicals assaulting them, doxxing them, and threatening them: congratulations, we’re going to work even harder to enforce the law,’ he wrote on X.

Donald Trump told The New York Times the fatal shooting of a woman by ICE agents in Minneapolis was a ‘terrible scene’ and a ‘vicious situation.’

‘It’s a terrible scene. I think it’s horrible to watch. No, I hate to see it,’ he said. ‘That was a vicious situation that took place.

‘I want to see nobody get shot. I want to see nobody screaming and trying to run over policemen either.’

Trump added, ‘She behaved horribly. And then she ran him over. She didn’t try to run him over. She ran him over.’

Minneapolis Police Chief says shooting was ‘entirely predictable’

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told CBS Mornings that the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good was ‘was entirely predictable.’

‘We recognize quite obviously that this has been building over the course of several weeks,’ O’Hara said.

‘I would hope no matter what side of politics people are on we can recognize that the loss of a human life is a tragedy and that we do not want to compound that by having a situation which can result in destruction or further harms this community, which has been through so much over the last five years.’

Renee Nicole Good dropped son off at school before shooting, ex-husband says

Renee Nicole Good ex-husband, who asked not to be named out of concern for the safety of their children, told the Associated Press she had just dropped off her 6-year-old son at school Wednesday before she was shot.

Good driving home with her wife, Rebecca Good, when they encountered a group of ICE agents on a street in Minneapolis.

Witnesses have claimed Renee, a mother of three, and Rebecca were acting as legal observers and filming the protest when she was shot three times in the face.

Noem claimed the victim was ‘stalking’ ICE officers

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said at a news conference on Wednesday that Renee Nicole Good had been ‘stalking’ immigration enforcement agents prior to the shooting.

‘It’s very clear that this individual was harassing and impeding law enforcement operations,’ she said, before calling on federal prosecutors to charge individuals who use their vehicles to ram ICE agents as domestic terrorism.

The Department of Homeland Security said they were acting in self-defense when the agent opened fire.

Tim Walz accuses ICE of contaminating ‘crime scene’

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has accused ICE of contaminating the crime scene after a 37-year-old woman was shot dead after she drove at an agent.

‘[It was] total chaos. I have very limited work in this from training in the National Guard but I’ve had a lot of training now to watch how our professionals operate,’ Walz said during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon following the shooting.

‘After this person was shot, federal agents are milling around, touching the vehicle at a crime scene – I don’t know what to tell you and I don’t quite know how to respond to the question other than my responsibility is the protection of the people of Minnesota.’

Walz added, ‘You can be assured that whether it’s the State Patrol or the National Guard their deployment is there to protect Minnesotans from whatever it is.

‘If it’s an act of nature, a global pandemic or in this case if it is a rogue federal agent. I don’t know at this time. I want to be very careful.’

Minnesota investigators say they were denied access to shooting probe

Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has removed the department from the investigation into the shooting of Renee Nicole Good.

The BCA said in a statement to Fox 9 that it was initially tasked with reviewing the use of force by the ICE agent with the FBI, but it was removed by the US Attorney’s Office.

‘Without complete access to the evidence, witnesses and information collected, we cannot meet the investigative standards that Minnesota law and the public demands. As a result, the BCA has reluctantly withdrawn from the investigation,’ the statement said,

‘The BCA Force Investigations Unit was designed to ensure consistency, accountability and public confidence, none of which can be achieved without full cooperation and jurisdictional clarity.

‘We expect the FBI to conduct a thorough and complete investigation and that the full investigative file will be shared with the appropriate prosecutorial authorities at both the state and federal levels.’

Hillary Clinton reacts to Minneapolis ICE shooting

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton posted on X praising the protesters who gathered after an ICE agent shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis.

‘Last night, at the corner where an ICE agent murdered Renee Good, thousands of Minnesotans gathered in the frigid dark to protest her killing,’ she wrote.

‘In the face of this administration’s lawless violence, solidarity is the answer. They want to mold America to their cruelty. We refuse.’

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey responds to those who called his remarks ‘inflammatory’

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey was asked on CNN about his remarks calling on ICE to ‘get the f**k out of’ the city.

‘I’m so sorry if I offended your Disney princess ears,’ he replied.

‘But here’s the thing: If we’re talking about what’s inflammatory, on one hand you got someone who dropped an F-bomb and on the other hand you have someone who killed somebody else, I think the more inflammatory action is killing somebody.’

‘And so once again, let’s be real and honest and straight up about what’s happening here, this is not OK – the way they’re coming into cities, not just Minneapolis, but around the country is not OK.’

‘You want to make a big deal about an F-bomb,’ Frey later added, ‘I think let’s make a big deal about our Constitution, I think that’s probably the better route.’
