Moment Dubai diners run for cover as Iranian attacks rock Middle East and Qatar shoots

Tourists were caught on video at a restaurant in Dubai scrambling for cover after a loud bang as Iranian attacks continue to rock the Middle East.

Dubai has been targeted by Iranian missiles and drones since Saturday and residents are on edge, with footage appearing to show diners confusing a cannon, which notifies when people can break their Ramadan fast, with an explosion.

It came as Qatar shot down two Iranian fighter jets after it was attacked by Tehran today and forced to shut off its gas production following a drone strike.

The Qatari defence ministry announced two Su-24 bombers were brought down today while seven missiles and five drones were also intercepted during several attacks on the Gulf state.

That comes after Qatar’s state-run energy firm said it ceased its liquefied natural gas production following two attacks in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed as the country cuts its ties with Iran.

European gas prices increased by almost 50 per cent after Iran attacked production facilities in Qatar – one of the world’s biggest exporters.

Meanwhile Bahrain has declared it has intercepted 70 missiles and 59 drones launched by Iran as Tehran retaliates against the Gulf states over the US-Israel war.

According to Bahrain’s National Communications Centre, the interceptions resulted in some debris falling onto sites across the island kingdom where a ship burst into flames after it was struck at port.

It comes after Iran rejected an ultimatum by Donald Trump to lay down its weapons after two days of fighting and launched new attacks on Israel and across the Middle East.

Iran steps up drone attacks on Gulf states as Bahrain and Qatar face missile barrage

Iran has stepped up its attacks on Gulf states across the Middle East in retaliation over the US-Israel war which resulted in the death of its supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei on Saturday.

Qatar’s defence ministry said it shot down two Iranian fighter jets and intercepted seven missiles and five drones following widespread attacks across the country.

While Bahrain announced its air defences have intercepted 70 missiles and 59 drones in the latest wave of attacks

Qatar’s state-run energy firm was targeted, forcing it to stop gas production and Saudi Arabia halted operations at its huge Ras Tanura oil refinery which caught fire earlier today.

The latest onslaught comes after Iran rejected an ultimatum by Donald Trump to lay down its weapons after two days of fighting and launched new attacks on Israel and across the Middle East.

Trump assures US has capacity for ‘far longer’ conflict with Iran

Donald Trump promised during his first remarks since strikes in Iran not to ‘get bored’ of the conflict.

During a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House on Monday, the president assured the US has the capability to fight ‘far longer’ than the projected four weeks he believe the operation will last.

It was his first public event since the US-Israeli strikes over the weekend shook the world and resulted in the deaths of four US troops – and Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

US strikes ‘deep inside Iran’

The US Central Command said B-1 bombers have ‘struck deep inside Iran to degrade Iranian ballistic missile capabilities’.

‘As the President stated, “we’re going to destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground”,’ it added.

Nato chief praises US-Israeli military actions but says alliance will stay out

Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte has backed the military action carried out by Israel and the US on Iran, saying it has degraded Tehran’s ability to develop nuclear missiles.

But he has ruled out involvement of Nato troops.

‘It’s really important what the US is doing here, together with Israel, because it is taking out, degrading the capacity of Iran to get its hands on nuclear capability, ‌the ballistic missile capability,’ he told Germany’s ARD television.

Loud explosions heard in Beirut

Power explosions have been reported in the Lebanese capital at just after 7pm local time.

At least five blasts have shook the streets with houses violently rattling and plumes of smoke rising above the city.

The explosions have targeted Dahieh, a Hezbollah stronghold, according to local media.

Israel has pummelled the neighbourhood after the Iranian-backed terror group launched missiles and drones at Haifa, in northern Israel, in response to the the US-Israeli attacks which took out Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Donald Trump’s top general has revealed a gripping minute-by-minute account of the President’s ‘Operation Epic Fury’ to kill Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and cripple its military and nuclear infrastructure.

General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke to reporters alongside Secretary of War Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon on Monday, two days after Trump launched a war with Iran.

Caine said that B-2 bombers had flown 37-hour trips from the continental US, dropping bombs on underground nuclear facilities in Iran, as an unprecedented 100-aircraft ‘wave’ was unleashed by land and sea.

He revealed the dramatic moment Trump decided unilaterally to launch a war with the Islamic regime.

‘At 3.38pm, on Friday, February 27, the United States Central Command, through the Secretary of War, received the final go order from President Trump. The President directed and I quote, “Operation Epic Fury is approved. No aborts. Good luck.”‘

Two hours after he gave the order to Caine, Trump was on stage in Texas where he claimed he was still undecided, saying on Iran: ‘We have a very big decision to make…I’d rather do it the peaceful way. But they’re very difficult people.’

Trump says he won’t ‘get bored’ of Iran war

Donald Trump has responded to claims that he will tire of the war in Iran.

The President addressed the conflict as he spoke at a pre-planned medals ceremony at the White House on Monday.

‘Somebody said today, “Oh, well, if the president wants to do it really quickly, after that he’ll get bored.” I don’t get bored,’ Trump said.

‘There’s nothing boring about this. Do you agree with that, Pete? I think there’s nothing boring about it.’

Trump was referring to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth who was also in attendance.

Hegseth earlier refused to be drawn on how long the war would last at a press conference at the Pentagon.

Hegseth said: ‘Four weeks, two weeks, six weeks, it could move up. It could move back.’

Breaking:Trump says ‘we will easily prevail’ in war with Iran

President Donald Trump is making his first real-time remarks on the ongoing war with Iran at a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House.

He explained his rationale behind launching strikes.

The regime’s conventional ballistic missile program was growing rapidly and dramatically, and this posed a very clear, colossal threat to America and our forces stationed overseas. The regime already had missiles capable of hitting Europe and our bases, both local and overseas, and would soon have had missiles capable of reaching our beautiful America.

He also sent love and support to the families of the four troops killed in action and predicted the US will emerge victorious in the campaign.

In their memory we continue this mission with ferocious, unyielding resolve to crush the threat this terrorist regime poses to the American people and a threat, indeed it is.

We have the strongest and most powerful by far military in the world, and we will easily prevail.

We’re already substantially ahead of our time projections, but whatever the time is, it’s okay.

Iran vows to launch THOUSANDS of missiles at Cyprus after RAF base attacked

One of Iran’s top generals today vowed to carpet bomb the RAF’s main base on Cyprus with its most deadly missiles and drones.

Major General Ebrahim Jabari, a senior commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, told state TV that RAF Akrotiri is ‘in the frame’ after the UK allowed access to Donald Trump’s US Air Force.

‘The Americans have transferred the majority of their aircraft to Cyprus. We will launch so many missiles towards Cyprus that the Americans will be forced to leave,’ Jabari said.

Smoke is rising less than a mile from an RAF base on the eastern Mediterranean island today after two unmanned Iranian suicide drones were destroyed by RAF Typhoons.

RAF Akrotiri, home to more than 3,500 British personnel and their families, had already been hit by a ‘kamikaze’ drone at midnight last night with security sources claiming they were all fired by Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorists in nearby Lebanon.

Germany and Italy scramble to evacuate citizens from Middle East

European countries including Germany and Italy are scrambling to evacuate hundreds of people stranded in the Middle East.

Germany said it would send chartered planes to Saudi Arabia and Oman in an effort to evacuate thousands of tourists with some 30,000 Germans believed to be caught up in the chaos.

Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said ‘we will send aircraft to Riyadh and Muscat as quickly as possible for particularly vulnerable groups’, adding that he was in talks with national carrier Lufthansa to arrange the flights.

‘The safety of our citizens is our top priority,’ said Wadephul.

Meanwhile Italy said it would help with charter flights to bring back thousands of Italians stuck in the United Arab Emirates.
